Bridges Consulting created a website that showcased their proven experience and voting record in congress.
A former member of congress was seeking reelection to a new congressional district. This candidate had name ID in their previous district but needed to build an ID in new areas. As a former elected official, the candidate had some negative PR. Additionally, they faced a crowded primary election.
Bridges Consulting created a website that showcased their proven experience and voting record in congress. We wanted to drive traffic to the site to learn more about the candidate, make a donation, and to sign up to volunteer. The challenge with the site was improving ranking. As a former politician, the candidate had a plethora of cited news content. In order to improve search ranking, we updated the candidate’s Wikipedia page, we strategically placed keywords throughout the site, and included multimedia and linked podcasts on the site.
We were able to get the candidate’s website ranked in the top five search results in Google. During the primary election cycle, the candidate received over 4,000 visitors on their website. Over one-third of the website traffic came from organic Google search and from Wikipedia. Once the election ended. We transformed the campaign website into a personal page in order to maintain the candidate’s digital footprint.
